Triple pet commission, Somerset 2022

Hi guys,

I've started a new commission this month of three beloved pets on A3 Bristol Board paper using coloured pencils.

When it comes to choosing paper sizes, it depends what you want on the commission. How many pet heads do you want on the page? Head and shoulders or full body? With or without a background included? If you are unsure of what you would like, I would be more than happy to discuss this with you to get the best result for you.

The client for this commission gave me three photos of the pets she wanted drawn and explained that it would be a present for her mum. Two of the pets had passed away and one is still alive. I drew the outlines on paper, making sure I was happy with the composition and sent a photo to the client to make sure she was happy with it too. Once I got the go ahead, I cracked on with it.

In other news, a few months ago I broke my cat's favourite treat ball! We've gone to every pet shop trying to replace it and they've either been too big, too boring for her or not suitable for cats. We've finally sorted it out and found the exact same toy on the internet which should be coming next week. ...Lesson learnt, don't step on the toy!!..
