Tonto, Prince and Lucky Triple portrait, Somerset 2022

Hi guys,

Here's an update on the triple portrait commission I'm doing this month. The first cat, Tonto, the cool sunglasses wearing cat is complete and have already made great progress with the German Shepherd, Prince. In the photograph, Prince's ears are cut off from the angle the photo was taken so I found similar references to help fill in the gaps.

The photos I'm referencing from are quite old physical copies so aren't as clear or defined compared to photos on your phone. With this in mind, it's always good to think more about the tone values and getting that right. If you focus on that, you're halfway there!
